How to Cut A Lot of Kevlar Quickly

Are you looking to cutting Kevlar? Not just Kevlar, but a lot of Kevlar?  There's two main ways to hit this goal of cutting a lot of Kevlar.
Picture

1. Use A Powerful Straight Knife

Picture
If you want to cut a lot of Kevlar, quickly and efficiently, a powerful straight knife is a great way to do that.  You can stack and cut multiple layers of Kevlar or fiberglass on a table, and cut through it with ease.

Eastman Brute is a great machine to do this! It is a heavy duty version of the Eastman Straight knife. It has a robust motor to add high torque with a 3600 RPM.  If you use this type of cutting machine, it  allows you to cut a lot more Kevlar, while keeping the material away from the moving parts on the machine besides the knife. Fiberglass is a really abrasive material, so if it gets inside the machine (especially a moving part), it will bog down your machine and eventually break it!

2. Use an A Powerful Automated
Cutting Machine

A powerful automatic cutting machine is a great tool to cut a lot of Kevlar!  Automatic cutting machines can have amazing speed and accuracy.  The Eastman Eagle Conveyor Cutter (C-135) is a great machine for this type of project!

This system is designed to cut out any 2D shape on any material loaded into the bed of the cutter. You can add a systems that will convey the material forward to make it even more efficient. It uses a “crush style” cutting system to cut out the patterns. This helps certain fiberglass (not all) material from not fraying. These uses allow you to mark and punch the material also if needed.

  2. Consistent Results - Once you've programed it, you will get that result. Over and over again.
  3. Efficiency - It will produce results without having to remeasure.  Depending on the machine you choose, the speed will differ, but they are fast - Without having to sacrifice quality.
So start looking at automatic cutting machines today!

Optimize Your Cutting

Already cutting huge amounts of fabric?  Are you using Poly Overlay in your process?  If you wrap your stack of garments in the Poly Overlay, you can create a vacuum.  This vacuum will make sure that your stack of garments don't move during the cutting process.  This will ensure accurate cuts at the highest volumes possible!

  2. Manufacturing the individual parts of the chair: The next step is to cut and shape the pieces of the office chair.  The materials that will make up the office chair will be made from are cut and shaped into the different pieces that will make up the chair frame.
  3. Putting the pieces of the office chair together: Next up is putting all the newly cut and shaped pieces of the office chair together. This can look different depending on the style or the materials that have been chosen for the office chair, but some common processes can be crimping,  pressing or wielding components together.
  4. Putting the finishing touches on the office chair: The final step is to finish the office chair.  This step involves adding any extra components to the office chair to give it a little flair.  And also quality control.  Testing the chair out to make sure it works!
