"My name is Dan, I work as an embedded software programmer for a small manufacturing company that makes home theater equipment here in the US, but my favorite hobby is sewing. Because I spend so many hours typing, my hands have become very vulnerable to repetitive stress injuries. I found that using traditional manual shears for any amount of time is now extremely painful, so I have quit sewing for over a year now. I miss it!
I did some research last month into electric tools to help with cutting so that I can enjoy my hobby again. I found many designs at many price points, but I was not satisfied with bulky electric rotary cutters that could not easily cut fine details and curves, or consumer grade electric scissors that were extremely loud and produced lots of vibration. I continued searching, and I eventually found your RS1. I was nervous that it might not be everything I needed or that it may still hurt my hands, but your RS1 was clearly thoughtfully designed and highly refined. I was more than glad to support another small independent manufacturer, so I reached out to your US distributor Sewn Products Equipment Co. to purchase one.
They were excellent to work with and quickly delivered a unit today, and your RS1 has already exceeded all my expectations in every way! The design is very ergonomic, the replaceable batteries are extraordinarily convenient, and most importantly the cutting head and motor are excellently balanced, very quiet, and very friendly to my hands. Instead of dreading the cutting steps in my projects any more, I would like to thank you for an excellent, high quality tool that I will be looking forward to using each time!
Thank you as well for the extra accessories and parts included with my unit that were not listed in the description or manual. I am especially impressed with the silicone grip and blade guard. They are a very welcome surprise and work great! The grip is especially useful as it seems to further dampen vibration for my hands. The extra set of replaceable plastic bearings for the motor and cutting heads also make this a proper tool I am proud to own and maintain, rather than a cheap one that can only wear out and must be thrown away at the end of its life.
