The Eastman rubber slitter is designed to cut very dense rubber and plastic sheeting without fusing the material. It works with gravity-fed blade lubrication and a cooling system. The friction of a normal cutting blade would damage these dense materials or the blade itself, which might cause injury. But with this system, lubrication and cooling eliminates friction as the blade works, using the downward position of the tool to work. As a result, your fabric will be cut cleanly and precisely, without any fusing or damage to either the material or the tool.

This machine also boasts a high torque motor for quick and easy cutting, and a variable knife speed to keep friction and heat build-up to a minimum. It is available with a baseplate or strip gauge, depending on your needs.

The strip gauge will enable the cutting of strips with tight tolerance. The baseplate beneath the blade will ensure the blade stays in the right place as it cuts, allowing the operator to maneuver the blade as needed, and will protect your cutting surface from being scratched, allowing for longer use of your table.
